In the first film, ‘All I am is a Homeless’ Person, Jagneet strapped a GoPro to his head and walked the streets of downtown Toronto showing how it feels to be homeless. It quickly went viral on major online media outlets. It has also been featured in two film festivals in Toronto and California.

Finding creative ways to do favours for complete favours, this online movement went viral worldwide. Favours included: “Get me into residency”, “That’s sports car you drive, register it under my name”, and as simple as “come drop off food”.

Small acts of kindness can make a huge difference in people’s lives. If everyone was a bit kinder, more courteous, and more empathetic, we’d go further as a human kind.

These small favours led to bigger initiatives, such as raising funds for schools in Jamaica and hospitals in India.

The University of Waterloo ran a #WhatCanIDoForYou day when a group of student volunteers set up a booth in the Student Centre and did favours for the student population around campus. The event was a tremendous success as it helped students engage, make friends, and share laughs with one another to create a much more positive community environment. Some of the favours included: coffee runs, free styling in lectures, and walking new students to classes.

JustDoingIt was founded on the couch by three friends who innocently wrote a Facebook status that read, ‘What Can I Do For You #ImSerious’. As the team found creative ways to fulfill requests such as “register your sports car under my name, pay my student loans, and shovel my driveway”, the world took notice and our first campaign, #WhatCanIDoForYou, materialized. This campaign, which highlights the concept of giving and adding value to the world reached over 2 million people in 36 countries.
